The South Carolina Shrimpers Association is led by a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about the South Carolina shrimping industry. Our team members have a wealth of experience in the industry, and they are committed to working together to support the South Carolina shrimping community.
President
Rocky Magwood
Rocky is a 4th generation shrimper who started working on the back of his fathers shrimp boat when he was in sixth grade but has been on a shrimp boat his entire life. Rocky brings a vast knowledge of the shrimping industry and the challenges facing shrimpers through South Carolina. His service is dedicated to all those who work our waters, their families and the communities that rely on our industry.
Vice President
Bryan Jones
Bryan is a first generation shrimper from McClellanville, SC and while newer to the shrimping industry he brings legislative and financial expertise to help the association be effective. Bryan has served as Chief of Staff to the majority leader of the Florida Senate, and recently worked as Vice President- Investments for J.P. Morgan.
Treasurer
Christina Hattaway Oyler
Christina is the daughter of revered McClellanville Shrimper Errol Hattaway, a 56 year veteran of the shrimping industry who was instrumental in the history of the South Carolina Shrimpers Association, Christina has served as the SCSA’s treasurer for the past 10 years.
Secretary
Eliza Lacey Magwood
Eliza resides in McClellanville and is AVP in Treasury Management for South State Bank. She is the daughter of Will Lacey who shrimped the waters of Charleston County. She has deep familial ties to the shrimping industry and has a strong desire to see our industry thrive.
