The South Carolina Shrimpers Association (SCSA) is the voice of the South Carolina shrimping industry. We represent the interests of our members at the local, state, and federal levels.
Locally:
- We work with local governments to advocate for policies that support the shrimping industry.
- We also work to educate the public about the importance of the shrimping industry to the South Carolina economy and culture.
In Columbia, SC:
- We work with the South Carolina General Assembly to advocate for legislation that supports the shrimping industry.
- We also monitor state government agencies to ensure that they are implementing policies in a way that is fair to the shrimping industry.
In Washington, DC:
- We work with the United States Congress and federal agencies to advocate for policies that support the shrimping industry.
- We also monitor federal government agencies to ensure that they are implementing policies in a way that is fair to the shrimping industry.
